"Perth Soccer Club is one of the leading premier league football clubs in Western Australia. It was formed in 1987 as a result of a decision by the two clubs that dominated local football at the time, Perth Azzurri and East Fremantle Tricolore, together with a fast growing Balcatta Etna, to form a super club called Perth Italia Soccer Club. The new Club’s mission was to dominate local football competitions and become a springboard for a team in the national competition.

The new Club adopted Dorrien Gardens as its home, a place already renowned for quality football as it was the home of Perth Azzurri. On the site the Club built magnificent new facilities. True to plan, the Club quickly proved itself as a force in local football, becoming premiers for 5 consecutive years (1989 to 1993).

In 1995, to broaden its appeal, members overwhelmingly voted to drop “Italia” from its name. Its Italian roots rest in the history of its glorious past.

After losing its quality players, the Club struggled in the years 1994 to 1999. However, in 2000 its recovery was well under way. The league team finished third. Grand extensions to its facilities were built. The leaders in local football were back!

Since 2000, the Club has dominated the local premier league winning 3 premiership, 8 Champion of Champions, 8 night series and 2 Boral Cups. The Club is the leading developer of young talent in the state.

During this time the club has come up with some fantastic ideas and innovative plans to ensure the strength of the club continues long in to the future.

One of the main areas the club was looking to improve on was the way in which it was currently communicating with its players, members, supporters and sponsors.

With a forward thinking and a dynamic board the club was actively pursuing different methods which would enable them to improve on their existing communication channels.

After conducting a review of all the options available to them the club is pleased to announce the release of their first ever native mobile phone app for the iPhone.

The app will be branded in the famous blue and white of the Perth Soccer Club and the content available to users in the app will contain information about the club.

No longer will you have to worry about missing out on news or information about the Perth Soccer Club as the app will serve as your number one source of information about the club!
